Experience personal training in a small group setting. Class size is limited to 8 people.
This 4-week workshop focuses on posture and body alignment. Bad posture is a common issue for everyone, but it is critical as we age. Seniors who have poor posture are prone to falling and experiencing serious injury when a fall occurs. Body alignment and proper posture ensure that we maintain the strength needed to do daily tasks and maintain our independence. Light weights and stretchy bands are used in class.
Before the first class, you can schedule a postural assessment to help determine what you need to work on. This class supports people who have been diagnosed with osteoporosis or osteopenia and anyone who is developing a dowager’s hump. Most posture exercises need to be done daily and the group will use text check-in for comradery and accountability.
Class meets 4 Wednesdays in October: 2, 9, 16, 23 from 2:15 to 3:15 PM.
Class repeats in January 2020, Wednesday 8, 15, 22, 29 and again in March 2020, Wednesday 4, 11, 18, 25. You may join at any time.
Workshop is $80 ($20/class). Use the Westside Wellness punch card for $2 discount per class.
