Yoga Scientist, Master Teacher & Educator, Kirsten crafts each practice to address your current and ongoing health & wellness lifestyle needs. She specializes in Therapeutic Yoga, Kundalini Tantra, Yoga for Anxiety & Depression, and Yoga for Graceful Aging. Kirsten is a Certified Ayurveda Lifestyle Counselor, Reiki Level 3, and a Tantric Practitioner of the Sri Vidya Living Tradition. She serves as Westside Wellness Program Director, and is the owner of LivingYogaDallas.com, and founder of PraniLife Consulting

Lynne is the Head Coach at Flex Bend Balance, a wellness company that focuses on senior fitness, nutrition, and stress relief. She is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a Personal Trainer with an additional certification in Senior Fitness. She works with seniors to ensure they have the functional ability to age in place, experiencing life with a clear head and a strong body. She is a Senior Nutritionist and Behavior Change Specialist, using these skills to help people change their minds and change their lives. She is a Meditation Teacher and leads meditation anywhere she can sit.

Master Vinyasa Yoga and Mindfulness / Meditation Teacher, Nicole retired her legal career in New York to share yoga full time and coach entrepreneurs in enlightened business strategies that yield higher profits. She advocates for yoga students to be strong even when they think they are weak. She inspires her clients to leave unfulfilling jobs, pursue PhDs, and become better parents. They save the world by being healthier and happier in their bodies. Nicole is the owner and founder of Om Yoga Diva.

STEPHANIE WILLIAMS

Yoga has been a part of Stephanie’s life for nearly 20 years, helping her grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat. Yoga inspires Stephanie to live each moment more mindfully. She completed my 200 hour Vinyasa Flow training with YogaFit in 2002 - she loves to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. Stephanie has an extensive background in sports and fitness and is known for authentic, non-judgmental teaching style and compassion-centered philosophy. Most of all Stephanie love yoga because it makes her feel good and allows me to eat more pie…and who doesn’t love pie?!

Enjoy a class that brings you into the present moment through familiar postures paired with breath techniques, and deep inner work which may include visualization, ‘bandhas’ (energy locks), meditation and more.

This traditional technique of practice breaks the cycle of movement, allowing you to experience effortless calm and stillness both on and off the mat. It’s like flipping a switch - you’re able to sit still without anxiety or restlessness.

Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm and Saturdays 9:30-10:45am

FLEX, BEND, BALANCE for seniors

Lynne Patterson, Senior Personal Trainer offers personalized fitness training in this on-going class for seniors. Taught in a circuit format, enjoy a group warmup, then move to different ‘fitness stations’ to use props such as chairs, balls, stretchy bands and light weights to improve flexibility, mobility, and balance.

Most exercises can be done seated or standing to support the activities of daily life.

To prevent falls and maintain independence, start here. Have fun working at your own pace, and negotiating your own level of challenge.

Wednesday from 1 – 2 PM and Friday from 1:30 – 2:30 PM.

Classes are $20 each. Use the Westside Wellness punch card for $2 discount per session.

Wear comfortable, non-restrictive exercise clothes and supportive shoes.

gentle yoga with nicole

Experience a nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported and relaxing practice Wednesdays 5:30-6:30pm. Carefully orchestrated movements, with graceful challenge, and well-measured stretches, are made deeper and more enjoyable through gradual steps, with plenty of time to focus on breathing.

Perfect for those with movement limitations, or stiffness due to lack of activity, arthritis, back pain and other musculo-skeletal issues. Great for seniors, new practitioners, women who are pregnant and those seeking stress-reduction or weight management.

A gentle yoga approach has even been found to be an important compliment in programs to reverse heart disease or provide relief from the challenging conditions of fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, as well as mood disorders.
